Across the Road

Delhi in Winters

Only a silent mind
Can hear more
Than walls do.
He heard only
Trees to romance
With the Wind
Across the Road.

When it rains
In the month of December
Nothing but fog appears.
And she could not
Find her heart
Left in his apartment
Across the road.

Oh, this city named
For the weather
Of chills and gray
Delhi, all the leaves
Crunched under
His and her footsteps
Across the road.
